Here are some of the good ones from this past year.

King Mackerel in the water.

Kings, Grouper, bottom fish.

Yes, that is an Octopus.  Nasty fellas.

God's original fisherman.

Cobia in the water about to be gaffed.

Cobia, Spadefish, Kings, and Spanish.

Basic Information

Here is the first post for Reel Dawgs Fishing.  As me and Grown Dawg (the dear husband) are anticipating a great fishing season in 2011, we decided to start a blog.  It won't always be about fishing, but lots of it will focus on that.

So here is the important stuff.
1.  We fish salt water only.  Nothing against the fresh water folks out there, but that is just the path we have decided upon.
2.  We DO NOT live at the beach, but do dream of the day that will be a reality.
3.  We do not own a boat, but have been with friends, on paid charters, surf fished, and spent uncountable hours on the pier fishing.
4.  Grown Dawg's favorite fish to eat is Speckled Trout (Spotted Sea Trout).  And cannot decide what his favorite fish to catch is at this time.  He is torn between Cobia, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel.
5.  My favorite fish to catch is Spadefish.  Pound for pound, possibly one of the best fighting fish that you can find in the ocean.  Tasty too!
